Thinking. Thanking. Trusting.

Hi you gorgeous people. It’s been a while since my last post. When I began
writing this blog, the idea was to post every week as I had read that if I
wanted my blog to be successful, whatever that means, then I needed to be
consistent, have a schedule, never miss a week, be my best, blah blah blah.

Now I know that when trying to achieve something, consistency is a good
thing. However, I have come to learn that listening to my body and doing what I want to do, rather than what I think I should do works better for me. It takes the pressure off and allows me to just do what it is that I need to do, in that
moment. So here I am people, weeks and weeks late LOL.

As I sit here in my hotel room in Qatar.  I am thinking about my
journey over the last two years, thinking about the personal growth that I have made, thanking God for the things that my family and I have been blessed with.
I am thinking about how I have been trusting the process, which at times can be hard because the control freak inside of me wants to see the whole journey ahead. I am however, learning how to enjoy the journey with all its ups and downs, instead of focussing purely on the destination.

As a family, we are going through a period of change and adjustment, which
is unsettling and rather scary but at the same time is exciting and intriguing.
I’ve written before about change being a good thing and I stand by this. If
there is something you want to do but you are not sure how it will pan out, you are not sure what path to take, not sure that people will approve. Stop
fretting. Stop trying to plan out every intricate detail. Stop trying to
pre-empt everything that could go wrong.

All you need to do is make the first move!

As Nike like to say. Just do it!

Just make a start. Have faith in yourself that you can do whatever it is you
put your mind to. Do not allow the negative thoughts to even be real thoughts.
As soon as they come, cast them out. Think about the possible positive outcomes instead.

This is what I have trained my mind to do, and I promise you it works. Not
only does it help me to stop worrying. It also gives me a little push to keep
going. Because I am thinking about all the good that could come my way, it
makes me want it more and therefore encourages me to keep going. If I only thought of the negative things that MIGHT happen, I would not be as determined to make that change or take that leap because I would be thinking, ‘this isn’t going to work anyway.’ I would talk myself out of it before I had even begun.

Remember, your thoughts are powerful, your brain is magnificent.

This is your life to live, and you only get to do it once. Do not waste time
worrying about what has not even happened yet.

Think about it.

How many times have things not gone to plan? Did you just stop? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

You found a way around it, you problem solved, you made it happen. You are
incredible and need to give yourself more credit. (Pat on the back moment
please)

Life is hard, yet we continue to navigate our way through it. We have got
this!!

Think about what it is you want to do. Imagine the best possible outcome and
let that be your motivation. Do not allow the negative thoughts, worries or
fears to deter you. Make the necessary first moves, trust the process, enjoy
the ride and be grateful that you are here to do this.

Oh and one last thing. I want to know everything lol.

So, when you decide to make that first move towards the change you desire,
let me know how you get on.
